Attempt At Swing
Band Is Made

The initial attempt at a swing band combination on our campus was made at the annual Stunt Night program on September 17. The first appearance of the band was well received, according to reports, and thus the members have decided to continue their organization, so designated as the "Golden Cowgirl and her Family Folks." The group was organized by Maybelle McCoy, who appears as the Golden Cowgirl; the other members of the group are Percy Tyler, drum; C. D. Powell, violin; Jeff Douglas, piano; Woodrow Jennings, harmonica; Nina Watson and "Tippo" Allison, singers and dancers; James Wells, singer.

The group has announced that it is open for programs at any time.
