Murder and Suicide.—The Pittsburgh papers of Saturday bring us accounts of a horrible murder and suicide which occurred at Tuckeraville, near that city, on Friday. A German physician, of intemperate habits and desperate temper named Breitlaugh, in going into his house stepped upon a spool of thread. He struck his youngest child for leaving the spool upon the floor, when a quarrel ensued between himself and wife. Breitlaugh went to his office, got a gun, returned, shot his wife, put the muzzle of the gun in his own mouth and blew his brains out. Breitlaugh had been twice married and having children by both wives the family had not lived happily together. It was a most horrible affair.
