Head-quarters at Geislingen, dated 2d Frucidor. September 9.

The general in chief, to the Executive Directory.

Citizens Directors,

On the 21st, the advanced guard marched between Schneck and Mainburgh; the centre engaged the enemy in this latter situation, routed them, made about 200 prisoners, and took one piece of cannon. Left wing of gen. Ferino marched the same day against Rastatt, and drove the enemy from thence with great rapidity, into which they had not time to break down the bridge. On the same day they attacked the troops that we had at the bridge of Freisung.
