Applications Are Placed In The Mail
Applications for Ration Book Three were placed in the mail by Postmaster O. A. Tellifero yesterday, with every head of a family or others eligible for the ration book being a recipient.
Made mindful that unless an application is made no ration book will be issued by the OPA mailing center at Denver, Colorado, Browning people indicate that they are not going to risk being without the ration book.
Ration Book Three will replace Ration Books One and Two.
Continuing their cooperation in helping with the success of the ration book procedure since its inception at the war's outset, Browning public schools faculty members will give assistance in filling out applications at the high school next Tuesday afternoon.
Specific instructions are that applicants must either type or print words on the form to assure legibility for the OPA employees who will soon be at the task of mailing books to some 3,250,000 consumers in six western states.
Applications are self-addressed yet must be stamped by the applicants. Applicants are to remove the numbered stub, which will coincide with the ration book issued to them.
With most people the procedure should be a simple one.
