Full Text

Toulon, Feb. 15. The Squadron fitting out here will consist of ten Ships of the Line, fifteen Frigates, and three Xebecks. It's Destination is said to be, to join a Spanish Squadron, in order to lay Siege in concert to Gibraltar by Sea, while a Spanish Army besieges the Place by Land. And it is thought that another Spanish Squadron may attempt a Descent upon the Coasts of Scotland or Ireland; which will certainly be the best Method of making War with the English. It is supposed the flat bottomed Boats and other Preparations going on at Dunkirk, are with the View of acting in Conjunction with the Spaniards.
