Evergreens Will Form Background At Flower Show

The gardens exhibited at the annual flower and garden show of the State Federation of Garden clubs to be held June 3, 4 and 5 in the horticultural building, State Fair park, will have as a background evergreens from state forest land in Vilas county.

A carload of trees, including spruce, balsam and pines, cut by the state conservation commission in making roads through the forests, has arrived at State Fair park for use at the show.

The evergreens, which otherwise might have been wasted or burned, were shipped from Star Lake, Vilas county, where work is under the direction of C. L. Harrington, superintendent of forests for the conservation commission.
