Constantinople. 9.- It is now evident that the main object of the inquiry into the death of Sultan Abdul Aziz was to prevent any future combination of the men who deposed Abdul Aziz, and not to establish the truth regarding the manner of his death. Numerous arrests among the military have been made. The battalion which assisted to depose Abdul Aziz has been broken up and the officers sent to distant parts. It is believed there will be no public trial of the accused, but they will be quietly exiled. There is a report that Mahmoud Damad Pasha has already been sent away in a man-of-war which left the Bosphorus under secret orders.
