Assert Romance
Is Not Broken

LOS ANGELES, May 9. (U.P)—

The "blasted romance" of Rolf McPherson, son of Aimee Semple McPherson, evangelist, and Lorna D. Smith, of Oklahoma, turned out to be "just another rumor" today.

The report gained circulation yesterday when Miss Smith returned to her midwestern home to attend the graduation exercises of her brother's high school class.

"It is quite true that Miss Smith returned to Oklahoma," Harriet Jordan, secretary of Angelus Temple said, "but reports that Rolf has been jilted were erroneous.

"Miss Smith planned her trip even before Mrs. McPherson left Los Angeles for the Orient. After her brother's graduation, she plans to do evangelistic work and then return here."

Rolf is now en route to New York City to meet his mother.
