By J. David Reed MARIETTA. July 12-Saturday evening William Henry (Ham bone) Morris, of Acworth, Ga., was stabbed fatally between the hours of eight thirty and nine o'clock by Arthur Humphries. Morris died en route to the Marietta hospital, a distance of 1 mile from Acworth, the scene of the tragedy.
Morris and Humphries had exchanged several bitter remarks early in the evening. However it seemed as that the difference had subsided when Humphries approached Morris about 9:00 o'clock, reprimanded him for arguing with him, and stabbed him (Morris) in the chest near the heart, before Morris could arise from a chair in which he was seated. Humphries was taken into custody by Officers Terry and Carr of Acworth and turned over to Sheriff Saunders, of Cobb county. He is now in the Cobb jail here. His case will appear in the present term of court.
