Body of Man Who Died In Desert Is Identified

KINGMAN, Ariz., June 10 (UP)

The body of a man who perished from thirst in the desert was identified today as that of Benjamin Pierce Cheney, 76, once a multimillionaire, of Boston.

Lee Waters, a cowboy, found the body Monday on a road that is hardly more than a track, in the desert. His automobile was found yesterday, 13 miles away. It had been stalled in a dry wash out 64 miles from here. An empty canteen and water bottle were alongside the body. Cheney evidently had set out for help and water after his car stalled. He had been dead four or five days.
