The Southern Members.
Our latest advices from Washington state that the Southern members have given up the hope of admission into Congress for the present, if at all; and the most of them will return immediately to their homes. This is the natural consequence of the outrageous treatment they have received at the hands of Congress. We only hope that the people will be able to see that the self-styled "Union" representatives now in Congress are the bitterest enemies of the Union. We will show that the whole object of the party in power is to establish a central despotism, that shall absorb all the rights of States and individuals.
