Capt. Eve, of the sloop Sally, arrived here yesterday in 17 days from St. Kitts, says that a few hours before he sailed, accounts were received there of the arrival of a sloop of war at Martinico from France, with intelligence of war having commenced between that kingdom and Spain. No particulars had transpired, but the account was looked upon as authentic. Capt. Eve left St. Kitts so late as the 28th of April, and our readers will see that this news agrees with that under the Salem head, brought by a recent arrival at Marblehead from St. Martins.
