Full Text

There will, there must be, a new classification—and the leading measure to produce that classification, is the charter of a National or U. S. Bank. On this question, the strength of parties, we feel assured, will be very different from the Whig classification. For instance, the Delegate elect from Giles and Mercer, we have been told, by one who had it from himself, is against the charter of a Bank. We have no doubt there are others: take for instance the Senate: can Mr. John T. Anderson become a Bank measure man? We think not—his bearing the expunge convinces us of this.—Abingdon State-Rightsman.
