Full Text

Precarious Graves.

We learn that the other day, two men were engaged in digging a grave in the burying ground east of Platteville, when they struck "a big show for a lead" in the bottom of the grave; and that the Trustees of Platteville refused to allow the ground to be worked. They will hardly be allowed to drift about amongst the dead, in search of lead ore; they might however, under proper restrictions perhaps, be suffered to extend a level into the hill at a proper depth. Who knows but that in the next corporation election in Platteville, parties may be divided into the Hyenas and the anti-Hyenas?
