Aga Seeks Romance In Alps?

GSTAAD, Switzerland, Dec. 28 (P)--The Aga Khan abruptly left a Mexican beauty in Austria today and drove 350 miles over perilous, icy mountain roads to this ski resort.
There were reports he would see a British girl friend in Gstaad, but the young Aga Khan was not talking.
"I have nothing to say to anyone," he told reporters. "I just want to be left alone."
The Aga Khan went straight to his private chalet adjoining the exclusive Palace Hotel, where his girl friend is staying with her wealthy parents. She is Patricia Rawlings, pretty 18-year-old British debutante.
The 21-year-old Aga Khan appeared tired after his drive in a German sports car over the treacherous roads from Kitzbuehel, Austria.
Behind him in Kitzbuehel was Sylvia Casablancas, beautiful 17-year-old daughter of a wealthy Mexican businessman.
There were rumors in Kitzbuehel of a rift between the Aga Khan and his mother over his reputed romance with Sylvia but just about everyone was denying everything.
"There is absolutely nothing between us," Sylvia told reporters. "I just know him as a school friend of my brother Fernando.
"I only went out with him a couple of times in Kitzbuehel and then we both came down with a cold. I was in bed the whole time and only got up yesterday. I have no special feelings for the Aga Khan."
Said his mother, Princess Joan: "Sylvia is a very charming girl and her family and ours have been friends for many years."
The princess said all those rumors about a quarrel between her and her son were malicious lies.
The Aga Khan, his mother and a brother had been staying at the same hotel with Sylvia and her parents.
Patricia was not available to talk to reporters, but her name has been linked romantically before with the handsome Aga Khan.
A private house has been reserved for him on the grounds of a plush Gstaad hotel where the Rawlings for years have spent their winter vacation.
The Aga, who was Prince Karim until he became the Ismaili Muslims' spiritual leader last July, spent several years in a boarding school at Gstaad.
Patricia's father, textile magnate Louis Rawlings, denied last week that there is a romance between his daughter and the Aga.
The London Daily Mail had said she "may well become the next Begum Aga Khan."
