Graft Indictments Dismissed.

PITTSBURG, June 6.—The whitewash brush has wiped out all the 62 graft indictments against 38 of Pittsburg's councilmen, the court having granted the district attorney's petition for a nolle prosequi.

Indictments stand only in the case of former Councilman William Birand, who now is serving a sentence on a former conviction, and Delinquent Tax Collector Max G. Leslie. The boodlers got away with $129,500, it is alleged.

District Attorney Blakely said there was not sufficient evidence to convict since many of the state's witnesses were "forgetting."
