UNFORTUNATE.—The Wilton Troupe arrived here last Saturday evening, coming through from Humboldt via the trail. One of the mules loaded with baggage fell from the trail into the river and was killed. The baggage, consisting principally of wardrobe belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Wilton, went down stream about two miles before it lodged, and remained on a riffle about 20 hours before it could be recovered, during which time it got pretty thoroughly soaked. Frank says he has traveled a great deal, but this was the first time he ever got his wardrobe "in soak;" he "made the riffle," however, and got it out "all right, my Lord."
