Full Text

Tramps Routed.

Through the combined efforts of our vigilant officers, who have made it their especial business to run down tramps and loafers about the city for the past few days, the entire fraternity has been forced to capitulate and seek other pastures more fertile and green. The officers were out bright and early this morning and "took in" the entire city. As a result, only one arrest was made - a white tramp - who was fined $15 and 30 days on the farm. This looks like business, and the officers deserve the thanks of the entire city for this rapid extermination of worthless characters, whom it seemed last week were destined to take the entire city.
