WAR WITH TRIPOLI—CONFIRMED.

Official letters were published in the papers received by last Mail, from Mr. Cathcart, the U. S. Consul at Tripoli, confirming the intelligence of the Bashaw's having declared war against this country. This event took place in form, on the 1st May. [These letters shall be published next week.]—Mr. Cathcart says, the whole force, Tripoli consists of seven sail of vessels, carrying 106 guns, 4, 6 and 9 pounders, and 840 men, very badly equipped. They have more vessels, but no people to man them.
