B. T. W. HIGH SCHOOL

It's contest time again. The Athletic Association is searching for Miss Homecoming. The young lady chosen will also reign at the Turkey Day Classic traditionally played between the Tornadoes and Northwestern Bulls on Thanksgiving Day. Approximately 30 young ladies from 7th thru 12th grades are seeking the honor.

All parents are urged to attend PTA meeting held the second Wednesday in each month.

Miss E. E. Waller, Mrs. Lucille Chavis and Senora E. McKenzie are serving on the evaluation committee at the Roosevelt High School in West Palm Beach this week.

Three additional members have been given part-time counseling duties this year. They spend one hour each day in the guidance center - Mrs. H. E. Hart, Carl Williams and A. Fletcher Paschal are the new appointees.

Once again BTW is having its influx of intern teachers. Miss Gloria Jones, Miss Ezell Jenkins, Miss Bobbie Darden and William Mears are internes from Bethune Cookman College. They are working in the business education, physical education, speech and drama and mathematics departments.

The Girl Counselors chose the following girls as "girls of the six weeks:" Joy Evans from the senior high and Robbie McQuay from the junior high. These girls were chosen for their good character, scholarship and fine womanhood during the six week period.

Mrs. Mayme Williams is attending an educational conference this week at the University of Chicago. While there she will also participate in a board meeting of the AKA sorority.

The Tornadoes will take on Carver High Friday, Nov. 8. Everyone is looking forward to a good game. Will you be there?
