Full Text

WASHINTON, Oct. 14.

It gives us pain to mention an accident which befell the venerable and estimable patriot, Judge Duval, on Tuesday. Whilst descending the Capitol Hill, owing to the firing, or the bustle and the crowd, the horses which drew his carriage became unruly, and the foot-board giving way, the driver was precipitated from his seat, and the carriage dashed to pieces against one of the trees on the avenue. One of the Judge's arms was broken in two places. The ladies in the carriage were hurt but slightly-the driver considerably. We are glad to learn that the Judge is doing well.
