To Televise Steel Union Meetings
The Steelworkers are trying a new communications method with a televised "meeting of the month," a series of network shows highlighting major activities for the benefit of members who can't attend regular local meetings.
The program is designed "to let the general public look over our shoulder and see how a big, influential union operates," Steelworkers President David J. McDonald said.
The net of 29 stations carrying the next showing in December will cover most metropolitan areas and all districts where heavy concentrations of steel union members are to be found.
