We have been favored with the perusal of a letter from a gentleman of this town dated from on board his B. M. ship "Albion," off the Tangiers, April 30th, from which we learn :
That Admiral Cochrane had not then arrived on this station—though hourly expected. That Admiral Cockburn entertains no doubt of his being invested with powers to conclude an Armistice should he be disposed to do so, and is of the opinion that there is a prospect of an early Peace between Great Britain and the U. States. The dispatch from the Secretary of State to Ad. Cockburn about three weeks since, did not in any way relate to an armistice. It was interesting only to the Danish charge des affaires and his government.
