Petty Thefts—A gentleman has been a sufferer by the dexterous ways of some of the rising generation in town wishes us to caution shop-keepers against suffering dissolute boys to loiter round their shops and occasionally sit upon their counters—as several instances have lately occurred in which boys thus situated have abused a misplaced confidence in shops where there were two or more money-drawers, by availing themselves of an opportunity when the shop-keepers were waiting on customers in another part of the shop, to rifle the drawer behind them and make off with the money before it was missed.
