Jerry Manning, United States Treasurer at That Place, Visiting His Father-In-Law.

Jerry Manning, United States treasurer at Manila, has arrived in the city for a visit at the home of his father-in-law, John Coulter, who resides a few miles east of East Grand Forks.

Mrs. Manning, who was formerly Miss Cora Coulter, and child are also visiting here.

Mr. Manning has been in the employ of the United States government in the Philippines for a number of years, and has been treasurer at Manila for some time.

He is also a past exalted ruler of the Manila Elks, "the farthest away lodge," as it is described. Mr. Manning has visited the local Elks lodge room several times and is more than pleased with the quarters and equipment.
