Bethel's 79th Anniversary To Be Observed Sept. 17

Big Bethel AME Church, Rev. D.T. Babcock pastor, is preparing to observe its 79th Anniversary Sunday. September 17 is being designated as Friends' Day, leading up to the Anniversary program.

The Anniversary Committee held a meeting Tuesday evening, and adopted tentative plans which will be discussed Sunday morning in meeting immediately after the morning service. The Rally captains are asked to meet with the committee so that all activities will be co-ordinated.

The Sunday School Board and Religious Education committee had a very successful meeting Friday evening and plans were formulated for Anniversary Day, Religious Education Week, September 24 to October 1 and Homecoming Day on October 1.

The Anniversary program will include items of historical importance to the church.
