The Accident at the Bridge.--We were misinformed last week in relation to this occurrence, and deem it proper to give a correct account of it. It was not caused by the breaking of any part of the scaffold, but was owing entirely to the fool-hardiness of the white man, who, (being drunk) walked to the end of a plank which had been loosened for the purpose of removal, and which yielding to his weight, tilted and caused him to fall. The negro (who we now learn belonged to Mr. Elisha Hundley, of Charlotte,) attempted to clutch the other as he was on the point of falling, and in doing so lost his balance and fell. He, at least deserves a better fate.--Farmville Journal.
