Full Text

Things in Florida. The Tallahassee Floridian, of the 2d December, ult has received late intelligence from Tampa. The prevailing opinion at that post is that the Indians are, after all their tricks and boasting, anxious for a cessation of hostilities and permanent peace. Tiger Tail, with a number of warriors, had come into Fort Brooke and had communicated to the Arkansas delegation the wishes of the several bands, who had all expressed a desire to emigrate with them to the west. We have slight hopes now that the Indian difficulties in Florida will be brought to an end.
