The Fort Peck Tribal Court in the law and order office in Poplar had a busy month in November. The court handled sixty-four cases during the month.
Court files show that there have been five cases of contributing to the delinquency of minors, four cases of failure to support dependent persons, two failures to send children to school, two reckless driving charges, two for disobedience of a lawful court order, and one charge of assault and battery. The remaining forty-eight were charged with disorderly conduct.
In addition the court held one informal hearing on a juvenile delinquent who was sent to the State Vocational School at Helena.
The Tribal Court is presided over by judges David B. Johnson and Harriet Kirn.
