Full Text

Reading, Sept. 5.--A sensation was created by a remark made by Kate Keterer while fighting with another young woman named Mary M. Haas, in the Reading Cotton Mill. The affair led to the belief that Miss Haas had been the mother of an illegitimate child several weeks ago and the coroner made an investigation. It was developed that Miss Haas some time ago gave birth to a male child and that the infant was afterward buried in the yard, under a small tree. The body was exhumed. It was greatly decomposed. The parties implicated in the affair claim this was done by instructions from the attending physician. The young woman being out of the city to-day the warrant for her arrest could not be served.
