300 Killed In A Riot.

New Orleans, La., Sept. 12.--The steamer Olympia from Guatemala brings news that there have been serious riots there during the recent elections in which 300 were killed.

The natives gathered in great forces at the polls and there was considerable disorder followed by personal disputes.

The police were unable to quell the outbreak so the troops were called upon and they found it necessary to fire into the mob. This had the desired effect and after a time the crowds were dispersed.
