Spelling Bee
Plans Are Made

Prospects for a record entry list for the fourth annual spelling bee, to be held at the Community Center Thursday, April 20, were reported this week by Ken Wade, Center director.

The competition is open to any team of five spellers and "lone wolf" spellers also are welcome. A $25 bond goes to the champion, with a trophy for the winning team, and prizes for winners and runners-up in the adult, junior high school and grade school divisions.

Mrs. Ben Kraft, Father L. B. Fink, S. J., and William Stone will be judges. Words will be taken from the February Reader's Digest.

Arrangements have been made to broadcast the latter portion of the program over WVCQ, by Lieut. J. N. Taulbee, NOB Recreation officer, Don Green, manager of WVCQ and Alfred Tennison, local telephone company manager.
