Lucan, Ont., Feb. 12.—The inquest in the Donnelly murder case began yesterday. The physician who made the post mortem testified that the bodies were so burned that he could not distinguish the male from the female, and was unable to say positively what was the cause of death.
John Conners, the boy who was in the house at the time of the murder, testified that James Carroll, the constable, called at the house between 12 and 2 o'clock, to arrest old man Donnelly. Besides Carroll he saw Thomas Ryder and John Purtell in the house at the time of the murder. He was sure of these three, having seen their faces.
