A HIGH FALL.
Nicholas Postel, a boy who has been engaged at Weyerhaeuser & Denkmann's saw mill, was badly hurt on Tuesday during the dinner hour, by falling from the platform which extends from the saw mill to the ground. It appears that the boys generally congregate there before work commences, and ride down the slanting platform on two wheel carts used at the mill. By some means young Postel fell off the platform with the cart, and fell heavily on a pile of rocks. He was taken to the company's office, and Dr. Craig summoned, who reported him seriously injured, and under the impression that one of his ribs had been forced into the left lung. The injured boy was taken home, where he now lies in a critical condition.
