Mr. Philip Boyer, of Baltimore, has lately been robbed on the highway in Dauphin cty. (Pa.) by three villains, one of whom was a tall man; the other two of a middling size, thick and stout built. They had on blue coats and black hats, and their faces covered, one with black, the other two with light yellow handkerchiefs. After pulling him from his horse, they seized his portmanteau, and stripped him of his great-coat and under coat, and with a large dirk knife cut the belt he had round his body, in which was contained the principal part of his cash. The amount stolen was $1858, all in notes of the Baltimore banks.
