Riot at Manchester, N. H.

On Saturday evening several hundred Americans made an assault upon some houses, occupied by Irish, broke the windows, and killed two Irishmen; one of the corpses was brought to Lowell on Monday.

The affair all arose from the circumstance of an Irish woman going into a shop, and, upon an old man, an American, confessing that he had given her daughter, eight or ten years old, a few cents to buy candy with, she knocked him down with a pitcher and wounded him dangerously.
