While we are here visited with a long Drought, we have Accounts from the Southern Parts of this Continent, particularly South and North Carolina, that they have had exceeding heavy Rains there; and in the London Prints we find that the Rains in England had driven great Numbers of poor Haymakers, both Men and Women to seek Relief, that on the 3d of June the Merchants of the Royal Exchange made a Collection among themselves to the Amount of 17 l. and distributed it equally among 129 of them; and the next Day 12 l. more was collected and given them.
