Amongst the river and harbor appropriations of the extra session of Congress, was $10,500 for the Breakwater near Lewes; $3,000 for Mispillion creek; $3,500 for Wilmington. We suppose Senator Bayard who resides in Wilmington thought that amount was sufficient for his 40,000 disfranchised constituents. In Maryland, Baltimore the metropolis of the State received $160,000 and all the rest of the State $15,000, but in Delaware, Wilmington the metropolis receives only $3,500. while all the rest of the State received $19,000, and yet Wilmington is the home of Bayard.
