FROM SOUTH
New Low-Winged Plane
Takes Off from Seattle,
Presumably on Flight
to North's Capital

BULLETIN - A radio to The Empire from the Ketchikan Chronicle said Post's plane passed over Ketchikan at 3:40 o'clock this afternoon (2.40 o'clock Juneau time) presumably for Juneau. The plane is expected in Juneau about 4:30 o'clock this afternoon. The fliers have been invited to the Governor's House during their stay here.

Wiley Post, world flier, and Will Rogers, internationally known humorist, stage and screen star, left the Renton Airport, near Seattle at 9:15 o'clock this morning presumably for Juneau on the proposed flight to, Moscow, via Fairbanks, Nome and Siberia. Mrs. Post decided not to make the air trip as it was thought to be too strenuous. She expects to join the party within a few days, going north, presumably to Juneau, by steamer. Rogers said, prior to the plane's take-off: "We may have to get a fish dinner in Ketchikan before going on to Juneau."
