CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR HERE CAMPAIGNING

"The race for the Democratic nomination for Governor looks very interesting. In my travels I have not found any section of counties where any one candidate holds what could be termed a favored position".

Thus spoke Senator James Minotto of Maricopa county, one of the four candidates for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, who was here Wednesday and Thursday on a campaign tour.

"Taxation is the outstanding thing that the voters are interested in this year. I find an overwhelming opposition to the sales tax, either retail or wholesale", said the Senator.

"I think the election for Governor this year is going to be decided by the uncontrolled vote".

"I have no campaign manager, no clubs, no headquarters, am making my contacts personally and in each county have volunteers working for me"

"This is a preliminary visit to Santa Cruz County. Later in the campaign I shall speak here"
