SIX KILLED AS RESULT OF RIOT

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Jan. 5. - As the result of a race riot which broke out at Rosewood yesterday three white men and three negroes have been killed, according to reports received here.

VILLAGE WIPED OUT

OTTER CREEK, Fla., Jan. 5. -

Later reports of the casualties connected with the race riot at Rosewood, twelve miles from here, last night and early this morning, give the death toll as five, two white men, two negro women and one negro man having been killed.

With the exception of three buildings, the entire village was wiped out by fire at the hands of a mob which attacked the place shortly after daybreak today.
