Serve At Induction Center
These are busy days at the induction Center at 7th Ave. and Washington St. Eighty to ninety men are being inducted daily. Each day, some group or club acts as host to these men, both furnishing the materials and the sandwiches with which to serve them. The men welcomed this attention and enjoy the food.
The Estrella Republican Women's Club always takes its turn the first Friday in October. Mmes. Louise Sears Shears and Paralee Lester represented the group, and were on hand from 9:30 to 1 p.m. last Friday, making quantities of sandwiches and coffee.
If other groups would be interested in such a service, or even if they are only onlookers, they are welcome. There are always dishes to wash and sandwiches to make, and extra helpers would be appreciated.
