Little Rock, Sept. 26,1921.

We wonder if the stockholders of our co-operative laundry fully realize its influence. It is doubtful if the union people themselves fully understand how their enterprise is being watched. Not by the enemies of co-operation alone, but by its friends.

From Salt Lake City comes an inquiry as to how to organize, and a request for full information as to its operation. They not only wish to know of its success, but to know the mistakes so they can steer clear of the same errors.

From Pennsylvania, a group of eleven successful co-operative stores comes another inquiry. They wish to start a co-operative laundry, and are seeking to avoid the mistakes made by the pioneer in the field.

From New York, Wisconsin, Washington, all over the country, even Florida, the people want to know all about YOUR co-operative laundry. We might truthfully say, organized labor and the co-operative movement so far as it relates to the laundry business is on trial here in Little Rock. The eyes of all the co-operators are turned this way. The greater the success of the Citizens Co-operative Laundry, the greater the influence of the union men and women who put it over.

Each inquirer has received a prompt reply and each has been warned against the indifference, the apathy of those who should be boosters. The main reason that the Citizens Co-operative Laundry is not the largest institution of its kind in the city. is the indifference of some of the union people. They wait and let George do it. George cannot do it all! In our answers we add that this indifference is dying away, the union people are awakening to the opportunity afforded them of making their co-operative enterprise the leading one of the city, yes of the entire country.
