Louvain, May 8. On Friday last a smart Engagement happened near this City, between a Detachment of Austrian Hussars and a Body of Grands and other French Troops. The Engagement continued near three Hours with great Obstinacy, and many were killed and wounded on both Sides, but the French having been reinforced by 600 Men, the Hussars retired in good Order to the Camp of the Allies, and carried off with them all their killed and wounded: The French arrived here, were pretty much maltreated, and having rested a little, set out on their Return to join the Army: Tis given out, that the French Generals have their Eyes upon Mons; and 'tis assured, that some Troops are actually in Motion that Way.
