Full Text

The last lecture delivered in this place, before the "Young Men's Christian Association," by Rev. S. Y. Monroe, was a masterly production, evincing an amount of talent and research on the part of the speaker, but seldom surpassed by the most able and renowned men of the age. We hope in a short time to favor our readers with at least a portion of this able production. Rev. W. B. Gillette of Shiloh, will deliver the next lecture of the course, on Thursday evening of next week. Mr. Gillette is so favorably known to our readers, that the simple announcement that he will lecture, is sufficient. At the close of the lecture, there will be a Bible presentation to the "Young Men's Christian Association," by the young ladies of Bridgeton.
