Kicking Against the Pricks
The theme of the Sunday morning sermon of the Rev. B.L. Davis, pastor of Liberty Baptist church. Speaking of the accomplishments in the life of Paul the preacher said the present day churches be it neglected but that it will continue to live through the ages that believeth more than an able. Him do kick against the pricks of unbelief.
The speaker called to preparation in church services by ministers and others, saying that all of disciples and church leaders of the past had learning though not all of them were of the caliber of Paul.
At the hour of worship Rev. Mr. Davis delivered the gospel message from an exposition of the Sunday school lesson. Using the activities of John as a basis for his sermon Rev. Mr. Davis warned that the common people more often than the high folks of the church idea to a great material to Christian work. He said that when Jesus said 'Come unto me all ye that labor' he was speaking to the laborer. He admonished the people to ever stand up for Jesus.
Offering was $30.
Prof. Lawrence Mann directed the choir which rendered several important anthems at 8 o'clock services submitted social units will.
