Building Planned by a Woman.

BOSTON, Feb. 26.—The plans for the building which is to represent the six New England states at the coming Pan-American exposition at Buffalo were accepted at a meeting of the commissioners at the Parker House yesterday. The architect of the building is Miss Josephine W. Chapman, one of the few women architects in the country, who has had considerable success in her work in various parts of New England. The appropriations for this building by the six states have already been made, and when completed it will cost $18,000. A site for the building has already been awarded to New England.
