To Visit Nome

Mr. James V. Bennett, Director, Federal Bureau of Prisons is expected here in Nome on Monday, August 18th. His visit will be for the inspection of Bureau of Prisons facilities here in Alaska, also to help jail system management with problems expected as result of pending statehood.

He will be accompanied by Mr. George O. Parker, superintendent of the Alaska Jail System.

Mr. Bennett has been associated with the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons for about 35 years.

For approximately 25 years he has been director of the Bureau of Prisons.
