Cast of Forty People
"Radio Revels of 1938", a sparkling, fast-moving musical revue with gorgeous costumes, brilliant lighting and talent from radio, stage and screen, will be presented as the evening grandstand attraction at the Mahnomen County Fair for three nights starting July 29th, it was announced by Dr. E. A. Rumreich, Secretary.
A cast of forty people will comprise the revue, including Jerry the Yodeling Cowboy, radio star whose following throughout the nation has brought him many thousands of fan letters during the past few years, Dave and June Roberts, masters of dance and comedy, and many others.
The eight Dancing Debutantes, whose feminine pulchritude has graced the boards of leading metropolitan theatre and cafes, will add to the color and merriment of the revue with three production numbers produced in the Hollywood fashion by Harriett McGivern O'Neal.
Dance specialty artists will include the Lee Sisters, Patricia Patrick-the girl with the perfect figure-the Bee Jay Sisters and others.
Wade and Wade, America's foremost equilibrists-the only team of white performers ever featured on tour with the famous Cab Calloway and his orchestra, will have a featured spot in the revue, as will Don and Carol, the Skating Sailors; Olive Miles and Company, and other vaudeville acts.
Music for the revue will be furnished by the Hour of Smiles Orchestra, a broadcasting feature of radio station WHO, Des Moines.
The entire production will be staged under the direction of Irving H. Grossman, Manager of WHO Enterprises, Inc.
