The following statement gives the comparative mortality of the four great Atlantic cities during the week ending on the 6th:
Under five years of age...... 614 232 62 90
In New York there has been an increase in the number of deaths over the previous week of 9; in Boston of 28; in Philadelphia a decrease of 104; and in Baltimore of 59.
There has been an increase of deaths from cholera, as compared with the previous week, viz: In New York of 61 deaths, and in Philadelphia of 18 deaths; in Boston a decrease of three deaths from this disease is reported. No deaths from cholera have been reported to the Board of Health this week, as occurring within the limits of Baltimore. At the Alms House 91 cases and 50 deaths have occurred. The deaths among children under five years of age continue extraordinarily large, amounting in all the cities except Boston to more than one-half of the entire mortality.
